SOTRAMONT first made a name for itself as one of the builders of condominiums on CANADAIR land in Ville Saint-Laurent. Sotramont now builds projects throughout Greater Montreal, including the ambitious ARBORA project, the largest solid wood (CLT) housing complex in Canada. MJM ACOUSTICAL CONSULTANTS INC. took part in this project, initially at the research level, with Nordic and the National Research Council of Canada, to establish wall compositions and especially floor/ceiling assemblies with regard to inter-dwelling sound insulation. For this building, as for the others in which we are involved, we have produced a comprehensive sound insulation specification that addresses all aspects of noise and vibration control related to human, mechanical and plumbing activity.
