PAVILLON JEAN-NOEL DESMARAIS DU MUSÉE DES BEAUX-ARTS

The Pavillon Jean-Noël Desmarais, inaugurated in 1991, is composed of a new concrete structure adjacent to an existing building that has been completely renovated. This pavilion added to the existing museum “a considerable gallery space, educational areas and services, which allows the institution to exhibit a greater number of permanent collections, in addition to provide the necessary space for the temporary exhibitions “. The services provided by MJM during this project mainly focused on the control of the reverberation in spaces and of the noise produced by human activity during public gatherings and the control of the noise produced by the mechanical and electrical equipment in the exhibition areas.
